A New Year has begun

I find hope in the darkest of days

And focus in the brightest

I do not judge the universe

These words of the HRH Dalai Llama,always spur life into me when I feel lost. We all feel lost at times,which direction do we go, or do we carry straight on as before. A new year has begun and it is full of new years promises that many will be unable to keep. So we should not make promises we know will be very difficult to keep, instead ones that we may fulfil, this way we will keep our confidence alive in the knowledge that we can make promises and keep them. The wisdom of these few words assist us when things do not go as planned and we lose our way. On the 1st day of the New Year I wrote them in my diary, to look at from time to time, but now they are in my heart

Beyond darkness there is light,
Beyond ignorance there is wisdom.
May we always have light and wisdom shining in our life, leading us to make the right decisions , if we meet ignorance on our path we should offer it the light of wisdom to carry within its continued pathway, and if we meet again, for sure the ignorance no longer exists.

Basic Instinct

We should be guided by our basic instinct, for some it is stronger than others. Your instinct if you listen to it will warn you if something is not right and if you proceed you need to proceed with caution. If you are introduced to someone, if you are receptive to your instinct you will know whether this person is right for you or not, or whether something is right. Feel it, instinct warns you to take care. Our instinct should protect us by warning us that something is wrong, signalling of things to trust or not.

If you meet someone you instantly take a disliking to, or are in a place or are asked to do something that doesn´t feel right, and you don´t understand why, it is because your instinct has made you wary of this person,place or action.

Journey

As we wander down the rocky road of life, we discover new things, we learn of others and their hardships...that make us realise things are not so bad for us ...there are many much worse off than ourselves. If only occasionally we could stop and observe...and offer a hand to one who is suffering. We also learn of those who are wealthy and have all available to them....except perhaps true happiness. Money sometimes attracts the wrong kind of people, but we learn as we travel on, and we come across sickness, people that have so little time and yet they open their hearts to you, and we learn that if we become chronically ill and time isn´t on our side, we can still be happy and make the most of what time we have left. Continuing our path we reflect on ourselves and see that sometimes we may have offended or been cruel to others....we may have walked past the hungry person in the street, or not bother to see if a sick neighbour needs help...and we learn. Each day and every minute of our journey we are learning ...our problem is ...some do it better than others.

There is always time to change.

Sharing and Learning

It´s been a while, I was travelling and now I´m back home. I have been in cities and the country,met many different people, and learnt a lot. We are after all always learning.

During our life and experiences we are meeting all sorts of people, some we connect with and others we don`t. Each and everyone of us has an opinion, and the more different opinions we come across on our journey through life..the more we will learn. If we dont agree with anothers views then the path becomes a difficult one, every single one of us is entitled to their own view, good or bad. If we do not agree with someones viewpoint don´t just brush it away, discuss it, review it, attempt to understand it, sometimes we learn from others and therefore your views on life should not be fixed but accesible and available for discussion, others may also learn from you.

LIFE

Life and all that lives was concieved

within the mist and not within the crystal.

Who knows that a crystal is a mist in decay.
