2010-New Beginnings

It´s 2010, a new year has begun...new resolutions are made, some obtainable whilst other not.

A New Year is a time of renewed hope, and if we carry hope in our hearts then we can achieve much.

And if those without hope fall down, an invisable hand will pick you up and light the flame of hope in your hearts.

Those who are homeless,sick or needy, allow the light of hope to continue to burn within.

Spiritual Days

Once more the spirit of Christmas is apon us, for me it starts a little early which takes away the magic, the pressure to buy will be more difficult for people this year, with the general global financial situation. Many will not have the money to buy food ... without thinking of gifts. Many forget what Christmas is truly about, bring back the magical Christmas, token gifts, a meal shared with friends and family, carols at midnight. Maybe I am sentimental but money does not buy the spirit of Christmas, being with good friends or family does, sharing does, along with peace and love for our fellow man, and a thought for those wiithout a home, food,family or friends.

Blowing in the wind

Rain

Never think that rain will wash the smile from your face, it only serves to refresh it.

And if you think about it, the louder you are, the less you hear.
Quietness evokes a peace and serenity around us, it creates inspiration and time for thought.We hear more of the world around us, words touch us deeper and we observe and see better.Loudness breaks our thoughts, ruins our peace,and blinds us to many of the beautiful things in the world. I know which I prefer.

A New Year has begun

These words of the HRH Dalai Llama,always spur life into me when I feel lost. We all feel lost at times,which direction do we go, or do we carry straight on as before. A new year has begun and it is full of new years promises that many will be unable to keep. So we should not make promises we know will be very difficult to keep, instead ones that we may fulfil, this way we will keep our confidence alive in the knowledge that we can make promises and keep them. The wisdom of these few words assist us when things do not go as planned and we lose our way. On the 1st day of the New Year I wrote them in my diary, to look at from time to time, but now they are in my heart

light

If we could light up each others lives, everyday that we wake,what a wonderful effect it would have on humanity. Without life there is no life..In the darkness we fumble. Offer a light to those we meet..........it¨s contagious

Errors

There are times in our life when a decision we have made, becomes an error, for at times we have no forsight when the decision is taken, at this moment we believe it to be right. If it becomes an error of judgement and we suffer from it, then we learn, and if we learn then we have gained something.

To commit an error is normal, it is a learning curve...for none of us have reached perfection.

Hope

Everyone of us that walks the pathway of life needs hope, to carry them through the difficult times, to help us continue our journey. Hopes gives us the strength and desire within that allows us to continue to travel and battle through life.
Without hope, we give up, become negative in thought and action. Hope and "Will" go hand in hand, in turn leading each other.

Search for the unseen

Is it easier to believe in only what we see?and make judgement from that in front of us?

But doesn´t all that we see have an unseen side, a more valuable often unacknowledged other side? For example, a mother smiles at her child, we often miss the love behind the action, or what if someone consoles us when we are sad, the action of comfort we see but what we do not always see is that person absorbing and feeling our sadness.

Behind every thing we see lies a part unseen.

wisdom

Beyond darkness there is light,
Beyond ignorance there is wisdom.
May we always have light and wisdom shining in our life, leading us to make the right decisions , if we meet ignorance on our path we should offer it the light of wisdom to carry within its continued pathway, and if we meet again, for sure the ignorance no longer exists.

Tribute

A tragedy, unbelievable.

The loss of life,

the pain and tears,

and the........

not knowing,

and the waiting for those loved ones

To return to their final resting place.

My thoughts as with many others are with the victims, families, friends and relatives.
