Women against Violence

Though I attempt not to repeat here, my end of year thought is for both sites
This is my thought for the end of the year.
Once again, this year I have heard so much of violence against women. Hear we hear of the deaths of many women assassinated by their partners, who still wish to control them. We do not hear of those that live in fear, hidden away behind locked doors.
In many respects women have moved forward in the world, but in other respects we still have a long way to go.
If we make the decision to leave an abusive partner, be it mental or physical, then so be it. It is our right to take decisions and act apon them. It is our right to be free and not live eternally in fear.
Another year is ending, and I would say to those living in a fearful situation, be strong and seek help. The pathway may not be easy but with courage you can build a new future. It is your right to be free and live in peace.

"It is not a garment I cast off today, but a skin that I rip with my bare hands" Khalil Gibran

Be Not Afraid

A whisper in the wind, a light touch on the shoulder, A light breeze that passes. A voice in the night, a form in the dark, the aroma of a perfume, the sudden decision not to do something, the sensation of someone close, but be not afraid for this only is a confirmation that your guardian angel is with you.

sorrow and joy

Sorrow and joy go hand in hand, one is not greater than the other. For from deep inside you where your laughter bubbles, is the same place that was often filled with your tears and pain. When you feel joy look deep into your heart and you will find that which is giving you joy is given to you by that which has caused you sorrow.
And when you feel sorrow look once more into your heart and you will discover that you are weeping for that which has been your joy. we are like scales that tilt between our sorrows and joy.

Time

Why are we so pressured by time?.............if every clock stopped, what time would it be? If day never came how dark would it be? If the sun never shone, how cold would it be? If love conquered all, how wonderful it would be......and if there were no wars....how peaceful it would be. Time is important in what it brings, and only this. Let go, become calm and let it be.

Welcomes

Though I have lived my life over and over, nothing ever fails to surprise me. Each event, every meeting, each minute that passes, each day that arrives, brings new experiences and sensations. I welcome them for good or bad...and I learn from them. They guide me on the pathway of life.
